Programs for Middle and High School Students
Berkeley Business Academy for Youth
Each summer, 50 students are invited to the UC-Berkeley campus for two weeks to experience the B-BAY program. They will learn how to develop a business idea, create and present a business plan, and learn from Berkeley Haas professors and corporate guest speakers. This two-week program has two sessions and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Business Opportunities Summer Session (BOSS) at Penn State University
BOSS is a two-week, residential program, for residents of the U.S. and Puerto Rico, held on Penn State's University Park campus for high school juniors interested in pursuing a business education in college. It’s an opportunity for these students to take college prep and business fundamentals courses taught by Penn State faculty.
Georgetown University Entrepreneurship Academy
The two-week program takes an in-depth look at choosing a start-up, prototype testing, market research, social innovation, global business, and the operations of running a business.
Students learn the basics of design thinking and brainstorming; mold your ideas into strong, promising business plans; and participate in teams in a final pitch competition.
Summer Study for High School Students at Babson College
This 3+ week intensive pre-college online summer program features a unique Entrepreneurial Thought & Action® methodology for turning ideas into action. Students gain practical skills and explore social, economic, and environmental problems framed by the U.N. Global Goals. They will gain exposure to key concepts in entrepreneurship, leadership, marketing, finance, business communication, and other disciplines that support venture creation.
Discover Business Academy
Discover Business Academy is a two-week course introducing students ages 12-14 to fundamental concepts in economics and business and is designed and taught by a world-class London School of Economics PhD. Students master foundational principles of business.
Course content includes an introduction to economics; competition; fundamentals of finance and investing; principles of macroeconomics; branding and marketing; business and the law; leadership; and a business start-up challenge.
Beta Bowl offers virtual online and interactive entrepreneurial enrichment programs for teens. The program includes 27+ online video lessons, weekly tasks, group calls, and 1-on-1 calls with a startup mentor. Students take an idea from inception to ready-to-launch business. Students come away with a unique business plan, marketing strategy, completed financial model, investor pitch deck, and viable real-life business.
At Camp BizSmart aspiring young entrepreneurs acquire essential skills needed to be successful in school, at home and in a future career, by solving actual business problems from the CEO’s of hot Silicon Valley companies. Over 10-days, students work in teams and are mentored by industry experts. On day 10, students present and defend their solutions before a panel of venture capital and angel investors.
Georgetown University Business Academy
The two-week program combines investment challenges and group presentations with faculty lectures and case studies to prepare students with practical and critical thinking skills.
There are two tracks: Business & Leadership and Global Business. Each track covers important business topics and methods of analysis and includes entrepreneurial business simulations.
The Wharton Global Youth Program Essentials of Entrepreneurship is an intensive two-week summer program for a select group of high school students enrolled in 9th to 11th grades. This immersive experience challenges students to engage with peers, use innovative thinking, and learn the basics of what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
The program leverages the Wharton academic community to educate and inspire pre-collegiate students to explore business practices, analyze the world’s complex challenges, and take the first steps in becoming leaders who will transform the global economy.
Business Is Global At Indiana University
This two-week program is for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in experiencing the intersection of business, language, and culture. This intensive experience, presented by IU CIBER (the Indiana University Center for International Business Education and Research) will bring to life the phrase “business is global.”
Camp Business at Drexel University
Camp Business is designed to give rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors an intensive introduction to both collegiate and corporate business education.
Participants learn the basics of major business disciplines including accounting, marketing, finance and management, leadership, professional image, etiquette, team building and strategy.
Online and in-person summer programs for high schoolers provide hands-on practical experience to start a real company. Students create, develop and ship a product in just 4 short weeks.
Participants are paired to complement skills and set each team up for success. Live camps are located in the Bay Area and in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
World Business Academy
World Business Academy is a two-week online course introducing students ages 15-18 to high-level concepts in economics and business and is designed and taught by a world-class London School of Economics PhD.
Course content includes microeconomic price theory; competitive strategy; fundamentals of finance; principles of marketing; game theory; macroeconomics and investing; and introduction to data analytics, and an entrepreneurial simulation.
