Programs

These programs range from local community-based workshops to national and international organizations, all aimed at providing children with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to become successful entrepreneurs.

By engaging in these programs, kids can develop critical thinking, creativity, financial literacy, and a host of other skills essential for the business leaders of tomorrow.

Junior Achievement (JA): Offers programs to K-12 students, teaching skills in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness. The program’s proven lessons in financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurship are shown to positively impact the lives of young people. These lessons align with national and state educational standards and are delivered to millions of students across the country with the help of our education partners and volunteers from the local community.

BizKids: A national financial literacy initiative based on the Emmy Award-winning public television series where kids teach kids about money and business.

Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!): A year-long program for students in grades 6-12 to learn about starting and running a business.

DECA: Prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Lemonade Day: A fun, experiential program that teaches youth how to start, own, and operate their very own business – a lemonade stand.

Build-A-Biz Kids: Offers online and in-person entrepreneurship and business courses for children.

NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship): Provides programs that inspire young people from low-income communities to stay in school, recognize business opportunities, and plan for successful futures.

The BizWorld Foundation: Offers fun, project-based programs that promote financial responsibility, leadership, and teamwork skills for children.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA): High school programs that focus on leadership development and career preparation in business fields.

VentureLab: Provides youth entrepreneurship programs and free resources, fostering entrepreneurial skills in young people.

The Children’s Business Fair: Provides an opportunity for children to launch their very own startup business.

TechGirlz: Offers workshops and resources to inspire middle school girls to explore the possibilities of technology and entrepreneurship.

Odyssey of the Mind: An international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college.

Girls Who Code: Offers programs to inspire, educate, and equip girls with computing skills to pursue 21st-century opportunities, including entrepreneurial ventures in technology.

Economics for Success: Offered by Junior Achievement, this program teaches students about personal finance and the importance of identifying education and career goals based on their skills.

TREP$: A turnkey program to provide workshops that teach students how to start their own businesses. Can be used by teachers or other organizers for middle school students.

The Stock Market Game: An educational program that teaches children about investment and the stock market. The Stock Market Game™ introduces young people to saving and investing through a simulation of the stock market and bond market. Students get to trade and manage their own virtual $100,000 investment portfolio.

Smithsonian's Spark!Lab for Invention and Innovation: Spark!Lab is a dynamic learning space where children, families, and groups can create, innovate, collaborate, problem-solve, and invent. Through hands-on activities, they learn about the invention process, inventors and inventions in American history, and innovations that are changing our world today.

Moolah U: Provides summer virtual camps where kids create businesses and learn how to handle money, parents have access to courses to learn how to educate children about personal finance, and an app for kids to use to learn to manage money.

Acton Children's Business Fair: One day business fairs where children can launch a product, sell it, and learn about the entrepreneurial process. Parents and other organizers are able to use the program information to put together fairs in their communities.

Digital Adventures: Offers online classes and camps for kids interested in learning about technology, coding, and business in a hands-on environment.
